Do you know what a carnet is? Do you know how to get one?
Have you budgeted time for the customs folks checking the serial numbers of every piece of gear you're taking into their country? And taking back out?
When does it help to "nudge" the system? And when had you better play it dead on straight?
When the camera falls and breaks (happened to us) or simply stops working, can your imported-from-home cameraperson come up with a loaner from a colleague or dealer?
Do you really need to fly a crew over from the states and put them up in a hotel? Those crewmembers would be strangers in a land where there is no time to learn the local terrain and you have a shoot to do.
